Click on Credit Checks above here and use them. Lots of us do and like them. The process of them checking your office (which can certainly just be a room in your home) is really pretty trivial. It is NOT a matter of "having them go through all your personal files" at all. Mine came in, checked that I had a locking file cabinet and shredder (which, in my guess, doesn't have ANY credit information in it, but that's a side issue), took a few photos, and that was it. They did not look at ANY files or other things. It was really just to check that, if we had printed records, that we could secure them from casual lookers and shred them when we were done with them.
Some also check to make sure that your computer has a password -- although mine did not (even though, everything I have related to credit, is secured/encrypted on my PC).
