State Specific Question About: MISSOURI (MO)

I have everything i need for court except is there a paper I'm supposed to hand to the judge after he makes his judgment? --99.96.xxx.xxx

If it goes in your favor you hand the judge an envelope filled with used Unmarked bills .

In Missouri a tenant has a ten day window during which to ask for a new trial (trial de novo).

In order to obtain possession, you have to file a motion. In order to get money, you have to file a garnishment. Depending on the judge and your courts, you may need to wait ten days to do this - or you may be able to file right after court, but the judge won't do anything about it for ten days. Some courts will have these forms for you, while others may not. --205.188.xxx.xx

Another situation where you need to visit housing court often to observe the process, here along the Lake Erie shoreline there are 3 different type sizes used, if you serve notice with the wrong one you lose, this is the best time spent learning how the local and state laws can lean over to the tenant or landlord for various situations. --76.241.xxx.xxx

Carolyn is absolutely correct, but you don't hand the judge anything after he makes his judgment. You can file for restitution on the way out of the courthouse. --66.142.xx.xxx
