State Specific Question About: KANSAS (KS)

Ok I read the Ks. law. P.51 talks about eviction

p. 52 Says .......and has left as expected and has left items in the property then you do the procedure-30 days storage.

Question:What if the tenants "do not" leave the property and leave all their stuff, then does it go back to what Reid says and you can put it out or dispose.

I'll be storing this stuff, however clarification would be appreciated. --68.28.xx.xxx

If you have the ability to store it and are in a more metropolitan area storage can't hurt. And you can charge the tenant storage fees and do not have to release their stuff unless or until they pay you storage fees and money owed you from other judgments you have against them. I told you what we do here but you have to adapt to your jurisdiction. --70.253.xxx.xx

If they do not leave the property they have not been evicted.

When the Sheriff is at the property for the restitution, he is there to return the property (the house, not the tenant's stuff) to you. After he leaves, the tenant is legally "gone" i.e. they no longer have possession.

But you're still required to store, advertise, sell, etc their crap. --70.243.xxx.xxx
