Unless the wood has been painted it should not be a problem. Last winter when I took the RRP course I specifically asked about roofing. According to my instructor about the only time a roof job would be a problem is if any side wall covering or trim needed to be removed during the course of roofing. He also mentioned that if any of the sheathing (like some porch ceilings or rake overhangs) was exposed and had been painted it would need to be either tested for lead or handled as though lead were present.
