State Specific Question About: ILLINOIS (IL)
I have a one piece tub and shower that has been painted. The paint is coming off. How do I get the rest of it off? --98.227.xxx.xx |

Bring in a power washer...put on a bathing suit and wash away...be sure to close off the drain, or at least a good screen drain so the chips don't fall into the drain...
Consider why was it ever painted in the first place?....Even with power washing, you may find the true reason why it was painted, and may have to rip it all out and install anew... --74.110.xx.xxx |

I would imagine you will be reglazing or sanding and refinishing, either way the beauty will show based on the prep work used before the color coat is applied. --76.241.xxx.x |

If you have money available tear the one piece unit out and replace it with a tub and tile the walls. This will cost a little more but will last for years and will make your unit look better overall. I just put in a new Kohler tub and tiled the walls. Total cost around $800. Tenant very happy. --98.250.xx.xxx |
