State Specific Question About: NORTH CAROLINA (NC)

I have a tenant that broke a 12 month lease by one month. Even though my lease doesn't state it direclty that I can apply the deposit for unpaid rent, can I deduct the security deposit by the missed one month payment? --71.68.xx.xxx

We have a 45 day wait so we can deduct the last mount rent plus the damages, if you have a 21 day deduct the damages and which may be more than the SD and then say the damages are ongoing till the lease expires, you can also add in the advertising cost... --67.163.xx.xx
