State Specific Question About: MARYLAND (MD)

How does a homeowner evict a relative who has established residency but who does not pay rent and has no written agreement to live there? It is just time for them to move out. It was understood that the relative would be staying a few weeks but it has been 18 months and the homeowner wants his privacy and house to himself. --70.17.xx.xx

If they are living with you in your house just tell them to get the hell out . --70.250.xxx.xxx

Check around and find them a place they can afford. Then offer to help them pack.

Make the house uncomfortable for them somehow. You must know what they dislike.

It can be by cooking smelly foods or something like that, noise, whatever. You have to figure out what they dislike. Or get some friends to party all night in the home.

But the first thing is to find them a place to go that would be more pleasant than what you are about to provide. --76.99.xxx.xx

Fish and family stink after 3 days, so now you know why nobody rents to family - the fish can be dead and still stink, the live ones we throw back sometimes, this is that time. --66.72.xxx.xxx

ever read P.G. Wodehouse, the British inventor of Jeeves, the butler? In the 1930s, you would leave a train timetable and remark the 18:50 train to Paddington is "excellent", hint hint.

these are freeloaders - you really need to end this. It will be very unpleasant any way you do it.

This is not something to be discussed or argued with: TELL THEM! No wavering, no vascillating, no excuses.

(I would do anything to preserve the option to return. Generous hosts like you are rare, you know). That's why I would not be afraid and expect compliance and serious sucking up. --125.25.xxx.xxx

I sense that you are somewhat of a non-crontational type person...and that you tend to avoid conrontations..

And your realive living with you also knows that to their advantage...

Eiether yuu can keep on letting it go on longer or not...someday you you will have to face it all..and take a toughter stance...or not.

You don't need us to describe how to say or else..Get the F.... Out...you just need to say it clear words..Time For them to leave... --96.239.xxx.xx
