First and foremost, stop smoking inside the house! Oh yeah, then open some doors windows and let it air out. Odorexit (google it) has worked on everything I've ever needed it for, but you will want to call the guy and let him tell you what your doing before you start.

I bought a house that wreaked of cat pee and odorexit fixed it the first time, but I followed the guys directions to the letter. --168.8.xx.x

If the carpet looks nice then replace the pad - this is the unseen stink and stain magnet. Then duct cleaning would be my next choice, I assume you have washed all the walls clean. --99.161.xxx.xxx

For smell removal nothing works better than ozone treatment. I had fire in one house. It works fantastic. After two days nobody can sense smoke smell. Make sure to remove source (sod) first. Order on-line for best price. Works on any smell. --98.248.xx.xxx

I've used ozone treatment on two units that were supposed to be no smoking/no pets. Both units had both... lots of strange smells and whatnot. The ozone treatment worked like a charm to remove all of the odors. And since it's just a little machine treating the air, there's no need to apply it to surfaces or be concerned about damage - just close windows, turn it on, and walk away for a day or two!

Although, in the worse of the two, the pet damage was so severe that the carpet and pad had to be replaced and we painted the floorboard with killz to further eliminate any other animal odors that might seep through. --158.145.xxx.xx
