1. Get a copy of the SC Landlord/tenant law, available here. Check the Blue link in the upper left corner of this frame.
2. You need specific language in your lease from this law that eliminates the requirement to post a 5 day pay or quit. If you don't have that in your lease, your first step is to post a pay or quit.
3. Once the pay or quit is satisfied, you see the magistrate to get an order of eviction. You will need a copy of the lease.
4. You will be given the option of serving the notice yourself, having the sheriff serve it for $10, or hiring a Process Server. I highly recommend using a process server. You can charge his fee to the tenant.
5. Once the eviction notice is up, you have to file separately for ejection. It's only $10. The sheriff will then schedule with you to throw his stuff to the curb. You have to do it yourself. You can accept partial payment up to this point, but if you accept full payment, all bets are off.
