I've been buying Ammana dishwashers and have been happy with them. Not too complicated to run, not very expensive, and gets the dishes clean. I do not recommend Fridgidaire. I have heard mostly complaints about their dishwashers. --66.143.xx.xxx |

I have had great luck with the Kenmore brand. they are reliable but a little louder. Also have a whirlpool that has been great for over 9 years. --71.10.xx.xx |

I find that the best deal is to go to the local appliance store and get their best priced unit. Take the floor model for cheaper price.
Picking the brand and type first will end up costing more because that is what you will shop for. --24.21.xx.xxx |

I just bought a 4 year old Maytag off Craigslist for $50.
It's a built-in for a remodel I'm doing. Dishwashers tend to last a long time, and if this one lasts 5 years it's more than paid for itself.
I've been buying a LOT of stuff off CL lately . . . couple chandeliers for $5 and $15, dryer for $30, over-range microwave/fan for $50. --99.18.xx.xxx |

Whirlpool owns Maytag and Amana. They also build most of the Kenmore stuff. --173.28.xx.xxx |

Whirlpool owns all the names in the states, LG and Bosch still out of the monopoly, forever kenmore/sears made at whirlpool plant with sears sticker on front - get the one with manual turning knob, the fancier circuit baords are as expensive as a new timer model. --68.250.xxx.xx |

Go to a scratch and dent store, or department.
Find a new one and less troubles, installing a junker takes just as much time. --67.163.xx.xx |

I bought a $35 dishwasher at the Habitat store, spent $20 in parts to fix a leak in it before installing, been running like a champ for 2 years. --75.63.xxx.xxx |
