State Specific Question About: ARIZONA (AZ)
If a tenant leaves a 6 month lease early due to job loss, and gave only 3 days notice prior to moving, can I put the $300 security deposit towards the rent they left owing?

Check your state law requirements.
In Connecticut, the law states we must give an accounting of the security deposit within 30 days after a person moves out. The security deposit is for damages and unpaid rent.
Follow your state law requirements.
