State Specific Question About: IOWA (IA)
Is it worth the time to counter sue for false discrimination allegation.
I can prove I didnt discriminate but it ______me off the lady even accused me of this.
It appears the person is looking for a landlord to hang and collect a payoff.
I do everything professionally and consistant and have been now for 24 years.
I plan to respond to civil rights commission myself and not hire an attorney.
Any comments, suggestions, tips or advice would be appreciated.

I don't know your details of your situation and I'm not a lawyer so any legal advice from me ain't worth .02 cents. I just wanted to say if anyone falsely tried to put me through the ringer and knowing I'm in the right, I would make it my number 1 priority in life to legally and agressively go after the other party. I would not rest until mission completed. Since your situation involves false discrimination allegation expect it to be high profile and in the news.

It is not worth the aggravation unless you have the best attorney in the country to help you counter sue.
It is ok to be extremely t i c k e d off and cool off before you make a decision to counter sue if you choose to do so
Discrimination suits were easy to win back in the old days and I dont hear much about anyone winning these law suits now days
Hide your assets just incase, you never know. They must think you have lots of money.

I have been delt the race card several times by applicants and tenants -- both reported me to the City/State agencies. The last tenant who reported me because I wouldn't allow her to park an extra car on the property -- each tenant is allowed one parking spot on the property. At the hearing they learned that I paid for a set of used tires on her car so her son could start using the car to attend college and get it off the property. They closed the case once I produced the receipt, payment check and pictures of me getting times on the tenants car. --98.119.xxx.xx |

I also had a discrimination complaint brought against me. Tenant complained to our Association when I would not renew her lease.
I had 1-black unit, 1-white unit, and 39-Spanish. It had nothing to do with her being loud, disturbing the peace, threatening other tenants, illegal parking according to her, it was because she was a minority - Hispanic. Which is not a minority in Texas. It was dropped. --64.148.xxx.xxx |

2 yrs ago went through discrimination complaint with local civil rights comission. accuser needs proof through arbitration process. no need for a lawyer. without any factual proof case dismissed. renter was looking for quick cash. --56.0.xxx.xx |
