For many years, in Texas we ran credit and criminal checks on potential tenants. You do have to sign up for a service and pay their prices. --64.148.xxx.xxx |

let me change my question around.
Do you have to be an LLC in order to run a credit check.
What about a DBA? --64.12.xxx.xx |

LLC is not a requirement to run reports.
DBA is not a requirement to run reports.
We were sole proprietors with a DBA no LLC and legally ran credit & criminal checks through a service.
If you own the property and subscribe to a service you can run the reports.
You must have a legitimate reason to run the reports.
