You will be responsible IF your bf **doesn't pay** the rent. If you know he can't afford the rent without your help then you will be stuck until the owners get around to evicting him (and you) and can rent the unit to someone else.

suggestions: find someone else to replace you so the rent can/will be paid or convince the LL to start the eviction process on him IMMEDIATELY on Oct 1 when the rent isn't paid.

The terms of the lease are NOT dependent upon you staying with your boyfriend or not changing your mind. If you do not pay the landlord can (& if they are smart will) garnish your wages and ruin your credit - welcome to the adult world! --173.66.x.xx

Could your LL decide that he could rent the unit for more than the amount in the lease, and raise your rent? If not WHY not? Oooooh, there's a written agreement signed by all parties agreeing to the terms...THATS WHAT A CONTRACT IS FOR! --66.176.xxx.xxx

Pay the rent. Your personal relationship issues are of no relevance or importance. So long as the rent is paid, all will be well.
