State Specific Question About: GEORGIA (GA)
I have a non paying tenant a 3 day pay or quit on Tuesday and they are moving out today. They owe me $920 back rent and late fees. I don't know yet the cost of the damages.
What is the best way to go after them to get my money in Gwinnett County, Georgia. The husband is employed.
Please advise --68.217.x.xxx |

Small claims court usually works for most of us. Give it a try. --74.51.xxx.xx |

In Georgia, Civil/Magistrate Court (our version of Small Claims) handles cases involving damages up to $15,000.
Make certain you get these tenants new address (say you need it in regards to their security deposit) so they can be served notice should you file against them.

i agree with scc suggestion.u may have to go to court a few times to get the money.try to see if they are working.if they are not u cant get blood from a stone.u might try to get the judgment anyway bcs its usually good for a few years. --208.58.x.xx |
