What are the risks to take an applicant as a tenant with no social security card, but gainfully employed, can afford the rent, has a green card?

Risks: Unable to run a credit report. MUCH harder to trace him after he vacates, if you need to collect money from him.
Query: How can he work with a green card and no SSN?

unless his green card is fake.
A green card holder can apply for a social security without any restrictions. They are legal resident of this country.
Old green cards are easily falsified. They have a new card now like a credit card that is barcoded. --72.197.xxx.xxx |

MG said it correctly! A Green Card holder is a legal resident, and as such he is elegible to work and get a SSN#. If he is already working, his employer may have the SSN already (whether he/you knows it or not). Check on that. If not tell him to apply for one ASAP. I have been thru this process many times with my husband and his realtives. If everything else checks out, and he has a job and the income criteria--I would take him! --140.140.xx.x |
