State Specific Question About: OKLAHOMA (OK)
When I rent my home do I call the mortgage company? --67.217.xxx.xx |

If that is where the prospective tenant is employed - yes, the answer is normally no. However call the insurance company to be transfered to rental home rates and deductible, call utility companies to be sure transfer before giving keys and if renters insurance taken get a copy of the policy naming you as beneficiary. --76.241.xxx.xx |

No * you do call your insurance agent and advise them you want a landlord liability policy on the property and that you will be renting the house out and that you want your belongings to be covered at your new address. --205.188.xxx.xx |

Christie,
Click on the "Books" button at the top of this page, and buy "Landlording" by Leigh Robinson. Read it again and again! Then come back here with specific questions, and use the "seach" feature to find answers to common questions.
Welcome, and happy LL'ing!
