State Specific Question About: TENNESSEE (TN)
currently my home is leases and my tenents are either sending me checks with money taken out for repairs or bounced checks, how do I evict them?

Get the name of a good local LL lawyer who does evictions. Visit rent court to find them if no one recommend a name.
Visit them with a copy of your lease. Make an arrangement for a "flat fee' eviction. pay them when done.
pay attention to what they do (so you can do it yourself next time) and what they say bad about your lease (so you can fix it for next time).
live and learn.

Alison, you must give them a 30 day notice but if you are new to this, get a lawyer well versed in real estate and have him do it the first time. --63.21.xx.xxx |

Follow Mr. Rational's advice, and do it now. Waiting will only make your losses greater. It's definitely worth the money to pay a lawyer if you don't know your state's eviction procedures. Evictions have to be done just right or they will be thrown out of court. --70.143.xx.xxx |
