Unless your property is in a rent control area, generally there is no max. increase...

However...many other posters on this topic all over the country have been reporting rent rates are dropping for them on turnovers, and some even report a reduction in rent to renewals...

You have to do some comps on your local area to assess what the comprable units are renting for, and assess the probability of your exisiting tenant vacating due to your projected rent increase... --70.109.xx.xxx
