As I put it. I don't care if someone going down the street throws a brick through the window. Tenant is responsible. They have control of the house. They are doing something which caused a court to issue a search warrant. Time to get rid of that tenant. --208.94.xxx.xxx

Local laws may vary, but yes, the tenant is responsible. This is why they have "renter's insurance".

Why would the land lord (or anyone else) be responsible? --204.80.xxx.xx

it seems hard to justify how tenant can be held responsible for police destruction.if an airplane crashes into the house and damages it like in buffalo is the renter responsible for large house repairs? --208.58.x.xx

You'll have to prove the tenant is responsible. The real solution is to get rid of the tenant. There's no good reason for the police to execute a search warrant on the property and it puts your property on the problem list with the local PD. --192.234.xxx.xxx

If the warrant was for them get rid of them. If it was for someone that lived there before you pay for it and charge the person from before. --205.188.xxx.xx
