State Specific Question About: NEW HAMPSHIRE (NH) Tenant owes past due rent& late fees totaling 1960.00 In Dec 2008 tenant & landlords had agreed tenant would pay 100.00 above 900.00 monthly rent (1000.00)each month until income tax return and will pay off balance. January 2009, received 800.00 late. was told by tenant on jan 30, tenant will pay remaining balance of last months rent, and feb 2009 month rent on tuesday, feb 3rd. on Feb 3, 2009, received a voice mail message, will pay only 1000.00 on the 10th of feb, and verbal notice, we will be out on april 1, 2009. its clear they have no intentions on paying the balance of 960.00. not including late fees for feb 2009. how do I get them to pay the back rent owed?

After they move out...deduct damages and unpaid rent from the security deposit. If money is still owed after that, file a claim in small claims court. --68.236.xxx.xxx |
