State Specific Question About: OREGON (OR)

Tenant in mobile home park turned us into the city for building a fence around trash dumpster and said it was red tagged, a city employee had been there,no permits etc. and wanted to be informed of what the city would do to us, to keep her updated. This was all done to us after they were given a notice of breaking the rules/regs in mobile home park.This is harassment and if I did this to a tenant I would be in trouble--what about my rights?Any advise or anything I can do about it?

Get the permits as others stated then MOVE the unfenced dumpster NEXT to the tenat's mobile home while the fence is being constructed and awaiting final inspection. Make sure the mobile home is downwind from the dumpster. Take your time (6 months??) when calling for final inspection. Periodically dump a load of cow crap in the dumpster.

I guess I didn't make it clear,my fault.First I didn't need a permit the laws changed about a month ago --no permit needed for fence of the height it was built.I didn't turn them in for the park rules I own the park and gave them a notice they were in violation of the rental and rules and regs and neede to correct their behavior. OK, so with this new info:

-you are the park owner who gave a violation notice to a tenant that WAS in violation of the rules

-then in retaliation, the tenant called the city on a fence that you constructed

-if you did NOT need a permit for the height you built, why did a city employee red tag it? Or did they? Maybe it is just her that is saying it and its a lie.

-In any case you owe her NOTHING--no info--no response--no attention; get rid of her as soon as possible for whatever reason you can

There was no red tag, that was a lie by the tenant to the city.The tenant told the city she wanted to be kept informed of what they did to us as a penalty.The city is on our side as we did nothing wrong,however the tenant is looking for ways to harass us. Thanks --70.56.xx.xxx

I do not think that it is illegal retaliation if you evict them after they filed a FALSE report against you. So I don't think they are safe for the next six months.

I would not evict them just yet. I would ignore their attack, and I would simply enforce the rules against them, and only evict them if and when they do something that you would evict anyone else for. I think these people will give you cause pretty soon.
