My tenants are asking for Carbon Monoxide tester? in their apartments.

In WISCONSIN, anyone know where Carbon Monoxide, Radon and Smoke Detectors stand in general laws?

We already have the smoke detectors, but these people like to call every week on something or another...like a game to keep us running.

I thought I heard we needed to have either Carbon or Radon ones in the basement though. --4.158.xxx.xx

If you have some sort of heat that requires a flame such as oil, propane, wood etc., it may be required by law, also check your insurance policy. --70.24.xx.xxx

Yes, if you have some sort of flame, you should have a carbonM tester. Even gas stoves can cause problems. You can get them at the big box stores.

I've never seen a continuous radon tester - just the simple test kits the home inspectors use. If you have Radon, you'll need to get the lower levels vented properly. --99.10.xxx.xxx

Saw a combination carbon monoxide (CO) and smoke detector at Home Depot. Since CO is heavier than air and smoke is lighter than air I figured you would need to mount it half way up the wall. Just kidding - I don't see how a combination unit would actually work. --207.200.xxx.xx
