State Specific Question About: CONNECTICUT (CT)
Hi,
Can I rent a one bedroom apartment to a single parent (woman) with a 5 year old son? --192.249.xx.xx |

Yes, rent to them - you can't legislate or dictate how residents sleep in their home. --205.188.xxx.xxx |

In toronto, it would not be an issue.
However NOT renting to them based on them sharing a bedroom WOULD be a big issue in terms of tenants' rights here. --70.50.xxx.xxx |

Yes you can.
Something I mention often is the different expectation of space in the U.S. versus many countries.
My daughter, her husband, and her two children live in a 1 br apartment in Paris - and have a lot more space than many of her friends. Her biggest wish is to have one more room. --64.12.xxx.xxx |

Doesn't sound unreasonable.....But sometimes the Code Enforcement Officer will tell you what the max capacity of a unit can be when he inspects...at least that's happened to me. --74.47.xx.xxx |
