Depends on the rental for me - if it is in an area that attracts illegals, and you have other rentals, I accept people who come highly recommended by other tenants (who are good tenants)...

I've had applicants with no social = illegals, have not yet had problems with any of them...

Oh, and you are allowed to rent to illegals, according to how the supreme court has ruled based on the 14th amendment, in the event you were wondering about that.. --67.81.xxx.xxx

Four years employment with smae company = steady.

I am not employed by INS (or ICE).

I do not discriminate on the basis of age, gender, national origin, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, service animals, religiion, marital status, children, obeisity, ugliness, poor fashion sense -- and the list keeps getting longer.

IF this person has no SSN, and I cannot run a credit check, I would check with the employer, the former landlord, the current landlord, and run a criminal and civil index. If everything checks out, and I have a favorable vibe from this person, and if he has the move-in money, I'd take a chance.
