I had a tenant who moved it and let the place a mess. His security deposit didn't cover it all. My collection agency knows where he works, but can't get him served. I'd like to get his new home address.
Any suggestions?
I was thinking of sending him a statement or something like that in an envelope to his old address with no postage. I am hoping that the post office slaps a change of address sticker on it and returns it to me!
Think that will work? Thanks.

Send a statement to his last address signature citified. The postal service will place a yellow forwarding address on it and let him know thee is a letter to be picked up. He will not sign for it and the postal service will return the letter back to you with another return stickler covering his new mailing address. Peel off the sticker and walla!! --67.183.xxx.xxx |

Once returned, do not open it and save it. It will show you did mail a move out statement in a timely manner.
Also, include another documents such as legal documents, if he signs it then he is served. Provided the courts in your state accept this kind of service. Make sure only him can sign the for the letter. --67.183.xxx.xxx |

If he had his mail forwarded from his last know address, (your place) simply send a letter to that address marked with Do not forward, Address Service Requested.
The post office will send it back to you with a sticker with their new address on it. All for a mere 41 cents! --99.152.xx.xxx |

Are you sure? They will sticker it if it says not to forward? --70.57.x.xxx |

Yes Don, we are sure...
You could also just insert a blank sheet of paper with nothing on it inside the envelope...contents do not matter...it's the outside endorsement that rules... --68.236.xxx.xxx |
