State Specific Question About: MINNESOTA (MN)

Our tenants are divorcing. The wife wants to stay, she can afford it, and we want her to stay. Both husband and wife are on the current lease. If he is willing to be taken off the current lease, how should we proceed?

Additionally, the wife called the police to the home on Friday night because the husband became abusive. She did not file a protection order against him, but is willing to do so if necessary to get him off the lease. --71.220.xx.xx

A simple lease addendum signed by both to remove the husband from the lease, agreement that the security deposit stays with the rental & they need to reach a mutual agreement about whether or not she pays him half--that is up to them to work out, him, her and you sign...

Once you have done all this, and she states that he has moved out...change the locks... --70.109.xx.xxx
