State Specific Question About: OREGON (OR)

There is a car blocking access of entry for my staff to maintain apartment complex landscaping.

Not sure if it belongs to a tenant or not, since complex is located on street corner with public parking.

I know towing laws in Oregon changed this year and this is the first time I have had a problem car as a Property Manager, what steps can I take to have this car moved?

Check with the towing company.

I didn't know laws had changed. Used to be that you posted a note and gave them 24 hours to move it. --24.21.xx.xx

In Calif. you can get a ticket for parking/blocking a driveway, even if it's your own house. --63.97.xxx.x

If any part of the offending vehicle is on the public right of way, call the Police and they will ticket and tow the vehicle. If the vehicle is on your property, you can call a private tow company to remove the vehicle. you may have to pay the for the tow unless they take the car to the tow yard. Photograph the offending vehicle before you tow as proof of violation and the need to remove. --71.196.xx.xxx
