State Specific Question About: KANSAS (KS)
Does anyone have the legal wording for rent accelerator clauses to add to my residential lease.
HCCI in Topeka said it can definitely be used for property tax, insurance and utility increases.
Thanks --71.34.xxx.xxx |

I think you mean rent escalator. That is the term for raising rent mid-lease when certain events occur. Acceleration is the term for demanding full lease payments when a tenant breaks the lease. Check your state's laws. There may be state-specific wording like there is in MA. --192.234.xxx.xxx |

Thanks.
I mean legally acceptable clause for rent escalators. Checked KS KCCI.com site for Landlord -tenant law. Couldn't find. Called them. They can't find, but recommended the clause, so I know it is acceptable. Looking for a well written clause so I don't err writing it on my own with no experience.
