State Specific Question About: CONNECTICUT (CT)

I own a 3 family home with the bottom 2 floors rented out. I live in the top floor apt. My homeowner's insurance (Safeco) premium just went up by $1000 per year. I'm wondering if anyone has a suggestion for an insurance company that offers competitive rates for multifamily properties

I placed the same question with almost the exact situation last week. We have Farmers; and this year for a duplex, they doubled my premium cost. My insurance agent looked for cheaper rates at other companies and Farmers turned out to be the least expensive.(HA!!!!). The insurance companies are using the Katrina crisis as a reason to raise rates all over the country. --68.41.xx.xx
