State Specific Question About: COLORADO (CO)
A family submitted their application. It was approved (barely and with condidtions--direct deposit, full SD, etc.) for May 1st move-in date. Now they tell me they want to move in June 1st and that they are considering other offers? What do you think is going on here? Sounds like they are playing a game perhaps. I'm not lowering my rent for these people nor am I going to let them move in early for free--since the home will just be waiting for them. Is this typical?? I have a SFH and have rented it out for years, but never had a situation like this. --207.200.xxx.x |

It sounds like they are not too serious about moving, and are just shopping around for the best place at the best price.
I would tell them that you will seek other tenants unless they pay a holding fee(same amount as monthly rent) now that will be applied to May rent when they move in. --24.18.xx.xxx |
