OK folks, what's the word on this site? Does it give good informion or does it just blow sunshine? It tells me I am under priced but I haven't been able to find out how they get their data and if I should trust it. What does it tell you about your rentals?

The information I've gotten from it jibes with what I've seen in the local papers and cragslist ads. I link to it in my ads so people can instantly get an idea of how my places compare (price-wise) to what else is in the are.

Isn't that the site where you can plug in your own rents (in other words, it gets its data from other users of the site)? Um, Scott, do you mean RENTOMETER? I don't see anything at Rentomatic that gives you an estimate of prices for an area. All I see at Rentomatic is a link to Rentometer if you want to do that -- which, I believe, is a completely different site owned by completely different people.
That being said, Dan is right (about Rentometer). They appear to get most of their data from other people checking. While that can give good data if people don't lie -- you have no idea of knowing if they do lie or not. It is easy to corrupt the data -- especially in areas where there isn't a ton of listings.

GIGO? Not sure... As near as I can tell, the site has not recorded my rents. I have a duplex and put one unit in, then the other. When I did the second, there was no record of the 1st.
