State Specific Question About: ARIZONA (AZ)
A friend of mine asked me if I would be interested in helping manage 9 4-plex buildings, located next to one another. In return I would live on site. I would pay no rent or utilities. The owner is a real estate agent. What are my requirements as far as a license. Am I required to have a real estate licese? Can I legally accept rents. There would be no designated office, the tenants come to my apartment to pay rent. The owner would fill out all the lease's and conduct walk thur's. --68.3.xxx.xxx |

Maryann - A professional property mgmt firm would be charging $1800 to $2000 per month to manage 36 units * if you are not making that amount of $$$ - you should pass...otherwise you are onsite/oncall 24/7 for PEANUTS!!

you should be considered an employeee of the owner. if so then you dont need to be a broker to collect rent and deposits for the owner and transfer the money to him
get a written job description and expect a W-2 at the end of the year or a 1099 at a minimum --66.190.xxx.xxx |
