State Specific Question About: CONNECTICUT (CT)

I just found a housing report for Conn. It shows average rent for 2 bedrooms, etc, income it would take.

I am not surprised that the market I am in is one of the most expensive in the country. Someone has to make 63K to afford a 2 bedroom here.

If any of you want to see this report its on line, address is, ct-housing.org/Issues/OOR%20statewide%20release%20w%20chart%202006.pdf ( left off the "W's" and com's since this site doesn't always accept them. It's an interesting report. --65.89.xx.xxx

Data in that main report is outdated..still shows CA with a minimum wage of 6.75..it has gone up twice since then and is now 8.00. In fact much of the data looks to be at least two or more years old. Just an FYI. --207.200.xxx.xx

It's about a year old on the CT report, but shows 2 bedroom at 1590, which is right on the mark for the winter. Newer 2 bedrooms go for a lot more right now. Many are 1700-2400.

My unit is in between, so I keep it a little lower, and around what the other owner oc. landlord properties have.

I try to gauge it, based on the other rentals in the area. --65.89.xx.xxx
