State Specific Question About: KANSAS (KS)

I remember seeing at some time and am unable to locate the termonology to put as addressing tenant and others who may be living in the unit but not on the lease. Do you just address it: Jane Doe and et al?

Thanks for any help. --24.224.xx.xx

And if you want to get really proper, the "al" is an abbreviation, so it should have a period after:

Jane Doe et al.

That would be proper.

Well I personally don't have anyone living in my units 18+ that is not on the rental agreement but for CA notices...

"and all others in possession" is suggested vs et al. --207.200.xxx.x

From Oxford Dictionary:

et al. /Et "al/· abbrev. and others.

– ORIGIN from L. et alii.

From answers.com

Et al is Latin for "et alii," which means "and others." For example, the phrase "IBM, Microsoft, HP, et al" means "IBM, Microsoft, HP and others."

Hence why et al is not specific enough for a legal action..it must define (all) others WHAT (in possession, occupants, etc). --207.200.xxx.x

Terry -- maybe in your state or area?

"et al." works fine here for legal action. In fact, even the clerks tell everyone to put it -- and they pretty much refuse to give out any legal advice all the time.

The judges here have no problem with it -- and the Sheriff has no problem evicting the "et al." extras when they come.

in terry's world "et al" don't work..., fortunately terry's world is rather small.

it works here...., and it appears it works in MI...

I think terry is a Ms. Know It All..., rarely admitting mistake nor relenting on an issue...take notice and you'll see. thats not human..., which in turn is not reality. --68.210.xxx.xxx
