Help, what if you have 2 tenants unmarried and h&r block says they only need a verbal agreement as to whom receives it.. are we accountable if this goes south? Why do these people get this anyway-what a pain --67.184.xxx.xx

I just enter the property address, the period of occupancy and, of course, complete the 'Landlord' section. The tenants can add any name and SSN they want.

Do not issue a new Rent Certificate if your tenant claims the original was lost unless you write the word 'Duplicate' at the top, preferably with red ink. The first one wasn't lost. They want a second one so both can file for Homestead.
