State Specific Question About: TENNESSEE (TN)
Does anyone know if an employer will set up autopay for a tenant. Meaning if the tenant agrees to have the rent taken out of their paycheck will a company do that for them. Also, once autopay is set up can the tenant stop it? Has anyone had any luck with this? --64.12.xxx.xx |

I have never thought of that before.
That would be a great way of doing business. Problem in the real world is that I do not see many companies willing to make this effort for you. They have to deduct child support and alimony as they are dictated by the court system. I doubt you would find any satisfaction in trying this. Unless, the company is paying for the tenant to live there. --68.106.xx.xxx |

When I was an employer, we did such payroll deductions only when court-ordered to do so. And we fired the employee if this was required for more than two months. A need to use such methods indicates gross irresponsibility. Not good for tenants or employees. --66.226.xx.xxx |
