What is the limit that can be charged for a monthly late fee when a tenant does not pay rent on time? State is Wisconsin. Any help is appreciated.

I believe that $50 is the maximum amount. --71.143.xxx.xxx

Late fees aren't addressed in Wisconsin law however, as Sue alluded to, case law in most counties caps late fees at $50. In WI, LL's can charge any amount they wish; but, if late fees are excessive, the courts often will not even award the generally approved $50. --70.92.x.xx
